What haven't you done here! Looks good. You could move a lot of JavaScript out into external script files (though it seems like there's already plenty there). Some of the feature images in your articles don't have ALT attributes, though the image (file)names are good.

Overall it looks really optimised; there are a lot of links on each page, though as they're internal, it's probably not a huge problem. You might like to add a few external links to good, trustable sites - see Michael Martinez's guide:
