Have got the contract to create a website for a london client - all is well and good and will make sure the website is very SEO friendly. I have contemplated that I could do the seo myself - and might still go with that - but the clients have now pulled out the following key phrases:
Buying property property sale adverse credit. All of which I think are heavy key phrases. I came to this conclusion by checking how many pages google picks for each key phrase, then evaluating the top three results - backlinks / pr etc etc. So - what do you guys think ? is it easier than i think ? or would take serious man hours to rank for those. |

If you want to rank highly for competitive keywords, you need to throw money at it. Pay for rented links, pay for articles, pay for directory submission, pay for hosted marketing pages, etc.
Clients usually pick crap keywords. Word Tracker shows 149 searches per day for "property sale". Is it worth the effort? However, it shows 1505 searches for "property for sale". Do your research. The KEI will give you a (very) rough guide to how much effort it will take. |

Yeah for deffo - we're creating a debt advice pack - and will also provide a debt advice call center via a freephone number on that front. But your deffo right on the ball regarding the KEI, i've never thoroughly researched keywords other than how many pages were present on google for that search!
I've now registered with word tracker and will carry indepth research on key phrases, also are there any other tools I could use ? I've been using traffic estimator on adwords - just to gain a "rough idea" on the situ on google. Thanks for the tips Dave! Cheers GP |

GP - I can assist for free. Please post back to the forum. I will respond and let others view the information and advice.
I'd worked for some past clients in a similar field. I also have a personal website that is going after similar terms. It isn't difficult. Doesn't even require paid links ![]()
