A title should be exactly that - a title.
A crappy title stuffed full of keywords will not get clicked as much as a quality one in the search results. Google monitors clicks on links in the SERPs and takes this data into account for future ranking (much like with Adwords) so if your link doesn't get clicked, it gets demoted. |

The title tag shouldn't be dumped with too many keywords and the keywords in the title tag shouldn't be more than 65 characters (for google), as the characters more than that will not be visible in the SERP pages.

Your title tag should be readable, but also contain your targeted key terms. If you can still read it within a Google listing, chances are it's fine.
Example: John's Custom Cars, Automobiles, Trucks, SUVS and more! Autos, All Terrain Vehicles, Vehicle Mods, Body Kits - That is ugly and unreadable. It won't convert. Better Example: Cars, Trucks & ATV Mods and Body Kits | John's Custom Cars - It's more readable, still ugly. You get the point? Give me the URL in question and I'll help here in the forum if you'd like. Thanks! - Rob
