Backlinks

So guys - i raised up the fact that i was going to buy some backlinks from text-link-ads.com and a few of you guys said it was a waste of money.

I'm not relaying on it for traffic - converting it into leads - what i'm counting on it for is the SEO side of things. Helping my site go up in the SERPS.

Can anyone inform me why i shouldn't go with them - and also suggest alternatives.

There are lots of sites that offers free links.. You just have to patient in finding for them.. You can also build back links through some of these SEO strategies:

- article submissions
- blog commenting
- book marking
- classified ads
- directory submissions
- forum posting
- link building
- press release

You can also build back links through Reciprocal Links, Google and Yahoo Groups & Yahoo Answers....
