Can anyone recommend a good VPS provider? I'm with Slicehost at the moment but I don't like their selection of operating systems - CentOS is alright, I'd prefer FreeBSD though!

I like Web Hosting Provider - WingSix which is the VPS line at servercentral..

I know it's not VPS but SoftLayer (www.softlayer.com) is worth a mention. I have a couple dedicated servers over there and I've been quite happy.

I'd also like to take this time to say boo on theplanet.com (where I moved my servers from). //g

Delivos, why do you prefer FreeBSD? Are you an elitest? God damn elitests.. :P

What ever you do, don't get a VPS from NewMediaExpress.com (SG), I've had more downtime with them in the last 3 months than with 2 years of hosting on cheap shared hosting.. which is ridiculous, and the VPSs from that place are not cheap/expensive, but more than enough for it's shit service.

You might want to take a look at Shinjiru.com, their VPS plans are not bad, and their support is not bad either, as for NME, their support is crap too!

Personally I sold hosting for 5 years and I use PowerVPS.com myself. Equinix datacenter, proven track record, proven uplinks and great staff. Worth the cash.

I have a "semi-dedicated" Windows server from Web Hosting UK which has been pretty good to me so far.
