Well, say with article distribution; the first article gives your target site a lot of deep links, each placed on a different article recipient site. If you distribute another article with links to the same target site, you'll end up with 2 deep links from each of these article directories, perhaps using a different link text, perhaps even pointing to different locations on the target site.
Is it really worth much beyond the first article? Is this going to be a case of diminishing returns?
